Carl A. Weyerhaeuser Library
The Carl A. Weyerhaeuser Library is a non-circulating library dedicated to collecting bibliographic materials supporting the museum’s diverse collections of Prints, Asian and American Art. The library welcomes museum visitors, students, collectors and public researchers during Museum hours: Wednesday – Sunday, 1- 4 PM.
The Library collection of seventy-five hundred volumes includes art monographs, exhibition catalogues, standard art reference sources, periodicals, and ephemera related to the museum’s collection. Subject strengths include American art; Shaker furniture and decorative arts; Japanese prints and pottery; Japanese tea ceremony; books from the library of Kojiro Tomita; and prints and printmakers. The library also features displays of books from its Special Collections as well as, objects from the museum’s art collection.
