Judah Alden House
Major Judah Alden (1750-1845) was the great-great-grandson of John and Priscilla Alden, who arrived on local shores on the 1620 voyage of the ship, Mayflower. Judah Alden was a trusted officer of George Washington during the Revolutionary War.
A husband and father of ten, Judah Alden built this house for his family in 1790. The building once included a store run by Alden and his son. The house has had multiple owners, who have modified it over time. It is now used as a studio and gallery.
