Open Printmaking Session
with Kyle Turner
Wednesdays, 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM, (four classes per session, held weekly), $150 per session

Session 3 (May 6 – 27, 2020)
Class size is limited to 12 people.
Weekly evening of printmaking in which participants will produce unique handmade images in multiples. Utilizing the Alden Studio’s intaglio printing press, specialized tools and dedicated work space as well as instruction and assistance provided by Kyle Turner, beginner printmakers will be given the opportunity to sample techniques including drypoint, relief and monotype printmaking. Participants with more experience will have the opportunity to pursue a more self-directed printmaking project in the process of their choosing (minding limitations). All experience levels are welcome.
Open Sessions are recommended for individuals of skill level beginner to intermediate, though experienced individuals looking for a space to work or a community to share in are wholly welcome. Limitations: Incl. Press dimensions, equipment, techniques (drypoint, relief, mono, collagraph), etc.
Growing up art obsessed in Duxbury, Massachusetts, Kyle Turner has been engaging in the community’s creative scene from an early age. In college, Turner pursued his interest in painting and found new appreciation for printmaking and art history. In 2013, he received his BFA, with a concentration in painting, from New Hampshire Institute of Art, in Manchester, NH. Since 2014, Turner has been a member of the Art Complex Museum staff.
