10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Instructor: Betty Greene
In this Needle Felting class you will learn the basics of painting with wool by observation and practice. Betty will first demonstrate a few techniques, then give you a small practice piece to paint before setting you on your way to a wool painted landscape.
One of the most common observations felt by beginners is the sense of calm that is produced by the repetitive poking of wool into the background fabric.
You will be supplied with a variety of needles, wool felt ‘canvases’, a template and soft fluffy wool which will be your ‘paint’. I will also bring foam pads for you to work on, a necessity to keep the barbed needle from breaking as the wool is poked through the felt.
Please bring lunch. Coffee, tea, and water will be provided.
Instructor: Betty Greene has always lived and earned as an artist. She has been painting with wool since 2016. It is as natural to her as oil paints are to others.
Fee: $80 plus a $10 materials fee to be paid directly to the instructor on the day of the workshop.
