Oil painting for adults of all skill levels. Laura teaches each student individually, so they can paint at their own level and paint a subject befitting their skills and needs.
Laura talks with each student new to painting to get a feel for what he or she would like to accomplish, which enables her to guide the student.
Each session focusses on learning the basics of oil painting materials, foundations of color theory, color mixing, composition, and critique, and demos. For each session, there is an optional assignment or challenge for students who would like more direction or want to discover a new technique.
The atmosphere is relaxed, supportive, and encouraging. For students with no background in painting, Laura recommends one or two private lessons with her prior to the 6-class session. If that is not possible, please contact Laura (LTryonJennings@gmail.com) with your email and phone number so she can connect with you at least one week before the session begins.
Make-up classes will be scheduled by the instructor only in the event they are cancelled due to weather or if the instructor cancels. No refunds will be made after one week of classes. Classes cannot be pro-rated except for COVID-19 related events.
